This course allows individuals from all backgrounds to not only gain a recognised level 2 qualification but also gain basic understanding of Autism and other related conditions. This course is an excellent opportunity for networking among other individuals, whether this be professionals or carers. Each learner will leave with practical strategies and invaluable information.

Learning outcomes will include:

  • Understand the areas which individuals with an ASC characteristically have difficulties

  • Understand the concept of Autism as a spectrum

  • Understand the behaviours exhibited by some individuals with an ASC

  • Understand how to contribute to the person centre support of an individual who has an ASC

  • Understand how to communicate effectively with individuals on the autistic spectrum
